A Love Song about God's Law

The Songs of Our Savior

Preached by: Matt Delos Santos | 1/26/25

Scripture/Text: Psalm 119:97-104; Love the LORD and His Instruction, for they are true, good, and beautiful. Summary: In this sermon, Pastor Matt discusses the Psalmist's deep love for God's Law, focusing on three key qualities: truth, goodness, and beauty. The Psalmist loves God's instruction because it is true, offering wisdom that surpasses human understanding. God's Word is also good, not just as a moral guide but as a means to encounter God Himself, leading to personal holiness and a better world. Finally, God's Word is beautiful, sweeter than any earthly pleasure, because it reveals the person of Jesus Christ—the embodiment of truth, goodness, and beauty. The sermon encourages us to meditate on and love God's Word, which ultimately draws us closer to Jesus and transforms our lives.
