A Song About God's Works Through His Word
The Songs of Our Savior
Scripture/Text: Psalm 111:1-10; In this week's sermon, Pastor Phill preached Psalm 111, showing how its acrostic structure highlights God's character and our worship. He explained that true worship calls for all our hearts to praise all of God's works together with all of God's people. Building on the connections between Psalms 110, 111, and 112, we see that we are not only saved from our enemies but to a new life with God. Only through Jesus, our King and Priest, can we be set free from our slavery to sin and the idolatry in our hearts, enabling us to live the blessed life described in Psalm 112.
