A Song For Those Desperate For Deliverance
Pastor Phill preaches this Sunday (Jan. 29, 2023) on Psalm 70. The 70th sermon in the Psalm series, the big idea is that Psalm 70 teaches us how to pray with holy impatience.
In the psalm, we are drawn to two questions: 1) when is David praying this psalm, and 2) when is David when he is praying this psalm? We see the significance of our time as believers, both in our prayerful walk with God and in our sense of urgency for deliverance. Saved by the gospel of Jesus Christ, we experience our deliverance from sin while we wait for our full deliverance in Christ’s second coming.
Scripture Readings:
- Mark 15:21-32 (1st Reading)
- Psalm 40:1-17 (2nd Reading)
