Act 10: An Exodus into God's True House

Acts: Our Church HIStory

Preached by: Phill Howell | 4/6/25

Scripture/Text: Acts 5:12-42; As we continue our series through Acts 3-8, this week we trace the New Exodus theme in Acts 5:12-42. Jesus' exodus from the grave is greater than Moses' exodus from Egypt. Jesus saves more people from slavery and leads to greater glory and worship. Just as God stretched out His hand through Moses to deliver Israel, He now stretches out His hand through the apostles to heal, save, and send. And just as Pharaoh resisted God's work with a hard heart, the temple leaders now oppose the risen Christ. Yet nothing can stop this greater Exodus not prison, persecution, or pain because Jesus is the sovereign Savior and Leader of His people.
