Today's message comes from the next section in Matthew 14 and the story of Jesus feeding the 5000. This familiar story takes on new light when one considers the setting of this miracle. The setting shows that Jesus was around a crowd of 5000 men who were ready to force Jesus to be their military and political leader against the Roman Empire. However, Jesus is a different kind of king and leader with different soldiers for his battles and a very upside down strategy.
