Scripture/Text: Matthew 27:1-10; The big idea for this weeks message is that only the blood of Jesus can wash away the guilt of the blood of Jesus. Feeling sorry for yourself does not wash away guilt or take away the stains of the blood of Jesus. Doing the right thing, even the right religious thing, does not wash away guilt or take away the stains of the blood of Jesus. Matthew teaches us that by fulfilling the words of Jeremiah and Zechariah, only the blood of Jesus can wash away the guilt of the blood of Jesus.
