Scripture/Text: Matthew 15:21-28; "As we continue our journey through Matthew's gospel we make our way to a strange and difficult story, the healing of a Canaanite woman's daughter. In this message, Pastor Phill walks through each little detail of the story in order for us to sense the weight and the tension of this story. It is jam packed with explosive words and phrases that paint an amazing picture of faith on the one hand and just how far the gospel will go on the other hand. After working through the story we considered two questions: 1) What does faith look like? and 2) Is Jesus racist, sexist and rude?
