The big idea of this week's message is that Jesus' disciples are the wise women that are prepared for the groom’s delay. The kingdom of heaven is compared to a big celebration for a married couple. All throughout the bible, God presents himself as a husband to his people. In the New Testament, Jesus comes to be engaged or more accurately to be betrothed to his bride. Then he goes away and when he returns it will be like a wedding feast. True followers of Jesus will be ready for the feast when he comes!
