Loving and Living Through Him

Old Letters With New Life

Preached by: Phill Howell | 03/10/24

Scripture/Text: 1 John 4:7-11; In this week's sermon, we explored the profound truth that the invisible spirit of God's Trinitarian love in heaven finds its tangible expression in humanity on earth. According to 1 John 4:7-11, this divine love became manifest among us when the Father sent His Son into the world. Through Jesus, we witness the embodiment of God's love. Through His life, teachings, and ultimate sacrifice, the invisible became visible, and the depth of God's love for humanity was revealed. Furthermore, God's invisible Spirit comes into our lives when we confess Jesus as Lord and repent of our sins. As the Spirit of love enters our hearts, we become vessels of God's love, reflecting His divine nature to the world around us. Through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to love as Christ loved, demonstrating the reality of God's love in our everyday interactions.
